BHARAT ANAND

Our Founder, our Mentor, and our Friend Bharat Anand was a kind man of great wit, wisdom, generosity, compassion and talent. He was the personification of humility and goodness. Bharat was survived by his beautiful wife Prati, daughter Priya, and son Neel (Avantika), living in West Vancouver.

He built a very successful career in the insurance industry with this belief. “In my opinion, the great managers are leaders, not custodians. In agency building, there can be only three priorities Recruiting and Production, compliance and everything else”

In 1975, Bharat began his career as an agent in Winnipeg. Two years later, he qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table, he entered management and quickly became New York Life`s leading Sales Manager worldwide.

In 1982, Bharat was promoted to the position of General Manager in Ottawa where he built a scratch agency into one leading and successful agency in just three years. As evidence of his commitment to developing financial advisors, managers and productive agencies across Canada he relocated to Vancouver in 1986.

In 1995 Bharat Anand was inducted into the prestigious “International Who`s Who of Professionals.” He was a very articulate and motivating speaker drawing from lessons in his life to light the spark of inspiration in his audiences, speaking all over the world.

His true calling was at the start of the millennium, when he started his own company CF Canada Financial Group Inc. at a time when the distribution of financial products in Canada was undergoing significant changes; traditional career agency systems, based on sales forces employed directly by product manufacturers were proving too expensive and independent brokers were becoming a preferred and more efficient product.

CF Canada Financial Group was one the first MGA`s in B.C., a new breed of independent brokerage companies that took over the recruiting , managing and training of sales people representing product from different carriers to the clients. At that time, Bharat capitalized on his exemplary career experience both as a producer and of Canada`s most successful leaders in the insurance field; and grew it to be one of the largest premier Managing General Agency with its headquarters in his beloved city, Vancouver. He loved his work and he loved people. His belief and faith in people helped change the trajectory of many careers. Bharat was an exceptional leader. His proficiency as a builder, solid judgement and work ethic commanded respect among his peers and throughout the financial industry.

During his long and successful career Bharat was a perennial recipients of National Management and Agency Achievement awards. He served as a President of LIMAC and as a member of the Research Agency Group for LIMRA International.

He was a rare individual who successfully balanced the demands of his work and time with his family. Bharat has left a lasting legacy with a company that remains strong, purposeful and innovative. His leadership continues to inspire CF advisors, management and staff; Bharat’s motto stands as CF’s greatest value: “Integrity before PROFIT”.
